I knew that title would get you in here. My favorite editorial writer in the world, Mark Morford, has a new column out celebrating the findings of a recent sexual behavior study. I feel very vindicated though I don't think we needed a study to show the insanity of inappropriately repressed sexual behavior. Anyone with some sense, and I know how rare that is these days, can see how sexual repression leads directly to horrors such as rape, child molestation, sexual harrassment, misogyny, misandry and other sexual violence. That's to say nothing of basic depression and self-directed anger. Of course much of the column is humorous, fyi. The column itself also links to an ABC News article about these findings with a serious slant.

I shouldn't be surprised that such findings are being published now. Democrats, though most are not liberal (sexually or otherwise), are back in power and we will most likely have a Democratic president in the form of Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton elected next year. But as a liberal, they are better than the only political alternative truly allowed in this country.

I do believe inappropriate abstinance leads to a sort of blindness. The blindness that is developed by the sexually immature when it comes to mates, especially those that are supposed to be lifelong. The desperation to have sex can lead one to choose the wrong person just to do "it" and heaven forfend if you've married this person before finding out they are at the very least not compatible or at worst sexually abusive.

Anyway, great news for all us sexually mature, well-adjusted folks out here. See? We're doing just fine. The title of the piece, by the way, will be recognizable within the linked column above.

I stopped watching Saturday Night Live about five years ago. It just ceased to be funny. Skits were dry, forced and hackneyed. But within the past couple years the show has gotten its collective "groove" back. From what I hear it is in large part due to Tina Fey writing more.

Teen ran escort adverts on Craigslist.com and was arrested. She's seventeen years old. This happened in Hillside, IL which is not too far from Chicago. Fairly quiet suburb, nothing too big happens so I'm sure this gave the burb a little excitement. But I just can't help but wonder what violent crimes could've gotten some attention instead of this. 

I haven't forgotten about my precious blog. Believe me I have several posts I want to make. I have, however, been extremely busy IRL and so my blog, love it though I do, was pushed way to the back burner. Look for a new post within the next two weeks and thank you for waiting.
